The neighbourhood is bordered on 2 sides by 2 major arterial roads - Whitemud Drive on the north and Anthony Henday Drive on the east and 62 Avenue runs along its southern border.

Glastonbury Neighbourhood History

The history of the Glastonbury neighbourhood started when urban development in the area began in the late 1990s following a plan approved by City Council in 1998. The bulk of residential development in Glastonbury happened between 2001 and 2005 while roughly 25% of the homes were constructed after the residential boom between 2006 and 2011.

Glastonbury Community Homes

This Glastonbury community has a mix of low and medium density residential units and homes. Housing in this area consists of 62% single-detached houses, 14% duplexes, 3% row houses and 20% apartment buildings. Glastonbury homes for sale are contemporary in style and cater to all household sizes.

Glastonbury is located just off Whitemud Drive and Highway 216, providing motorists with easy access to the University Area and Southgate Centre. Anthony Henday Drive provides a straightforward commute to Edmonton International Airport and other communities in Edmonton. When it comes to location, this neighbourhood is considered to be prime Edmonton real estate.
