The Hamptons Community Development
The Hamptons community was approved for urban development and residential construction by City Council in the late 1990s. Development of the area is still underway and is expected to become one of Edmonton's most popular neighbourhoods in the coming years. Today it is one of Edmonton's best designed and most fashionable residential communities set in a prime location.
The Hamptons Neighbourhood Condos
The Hamptons neighbourhood offers a fantastic range of property styles including condos. Residential construction is still in progress and according to the structure plan for the community, the neighbourhood will be made up of two-thirds low-density housing and one-third medium density apartment and condo buildings.
The Hamptons Community Amenities
The Hamptons community is also conveniently located to amenities just off Anthony Henday Drive. Other major roadways passing in and around the neighbourhood include 62 Avenue, Callingwood Road, 199 Street, Lessard Road, Winterburn Road and Whitemud Drive.
The Hamptons as a residential neighbourhood is located off three major arterial roads. From here, it is an easy and quick commute to other Edmonton communities, the downtown core of the city and University Area. Regular bus service operates on 199 Street, 62 Avenue, Hope Road and Hemingway Road.
The neighbourhood has an interior roadway network that make their way around a number of gorgeous green spaces, storm water management lakes, dry ponds and beautifully-manicured parks and walkways. The Hamptons will also feature two shared school and park sites.
The Hamptons also boasts a variety of neighbourhood amenities including independent shops, restaurants and bars. For shopping and leisure, you can head over to Glastonbury Shopping Plaza or Canada's largest mall, the West Edmonton Mall. Other neighbourhood attractions include the Misericordia Community Hospital, Save-On-Foods Hampton Market, Colonel F.C Jamieson Park and Wedgewood Heights Park.
