The neighbourhood is right between 2 industrial areas: the Southeast industrial Park and the Maple Ridge industrial Park. Although residential housing is available in Maple Ridge, the eastern and southern portions of the neighbourhood are used for agricultural purposes. Through the years, Maple Ridge has also been called Oak Ridge.

Maple Ridge Community History

The history of the Maple Ridge neighbourhood dates back to the 1980s when the community was annexed to Edmonton. At the beginning of the 1970s, the first few pre-fabricated homes were transferred to the Maple Ridge site. Towards the middle of the decade, many of the mobile homes that you see there today were brought in. Another batch of mobile homes came in during the 1980s.

Maple Ridge Neighbourhood Homes

The cheapest homes for sale in Edmonton can be found in the Maple Ridge neighbourhood, and there is an incredibly high demand for them. There are currently about 860 houses in this neighbourhood today, which are occupied by approximately 1,700 residents. An astonishing 97% of all mobile homes in this area are owner-occupied. If you are looking for a mobile home to live in, there are usually a few available on the listings.

Maple Ridge Community Amenities

Maple Ridge homes are connected through a modified grid-patterned street network that accesses community amenities. The roads were designed this way to lessen traffic congestion. Local roadways are also well-lit with street lamps and the houses are well-spaced for convenient parking. Mobile living in this area is safe and the area is picturesque.

The mobile homes in this neighbourhood are surrounded by open spaces for various recreational activities. Inside the community is the Maple Ridge Community Hall towards the south-western part of the community. There is also a local park site, Maple Downs Park, with a lot of space for recreational activities and outdoor sports. Convenience shops are situated southwest of Maple Ridge and for more shopping options, residents can reach other facilities located around the rest of the city via 17 Street and Anthony Henday Drive.
