There are a number of cycling and walking trails throughout the neighbourhood and on the eastern side near Blackmud Creek you'll find excellent walking trails that back right into nature. The nearby Jumpstart Learning Center provides early childhood programs to youngsters and schoolchildren in Allard can attend the Monsignor Fee Otterson School nearby.
Along with the parks and stormwater management facilities of Allard, the neighbourhood also boasts a fantastic mix of local amenities including shops, restaurants, bars and access to great schools and transit facilities. Currently, the neighbourhood is home to an ice-skating rink and one commercial site with convenient access to shopping venues nearby including Edmonton's finest new shopping destination Currents of Windermere and the Southgate Centre.
