Allard is an affluent and exclusive neighbourhood in the Heritage Valley residential area of southwest Edmonton. It is bordered on the north by 30 Avenue, on the east by the Blackmud Creek Ravine, on the south by 41st Avenue and on the west by James Mowatt Trail. Communities nearby include Callaghan immediately north of Allard, and Rutherford, MacEwan, and Blackmud Creek some distance away.

Allard Neighbourhood History

Allard is a newer neighbourhood with a short history. The Community of Allard was approved in 2007 for urban development and residential construction. It has become a beautiful and thriving community since then.

Allard Community Waterfront Homes

A lot of the Allard community homes for sale offer views of the waterfront and some even back onto the waterfront itself. Both townhouses and single-family homes can be found in this community and most of the houses come on larger than average lots.

Allard, which is one of the newer residential communities of Edmonton, is still largely under construction. There are a number of cycling and walking trails throughout the neighborhood and on the eastern side near Blackmud Creek you'll find excellent walking trails that back right into nature. The nearby Jumpstart Learning Center provides early childhood programs to youngsters and schoolchildren in Allard can attend the Monsignor Fee Otterson School nearby.

Along with the parks and storm water management facilities of Allard, the neighbourhood also boasts a fantastic mix of local amenities including shops, restaurants, bars and access to great schools and transit facilities. Currently the neighbourhood is home to an ice-skating rink and one commercial site with convenient access to shopping venues nearby including Edmonton's finest new shopping destination Currents of Windermere and the Southgate Centre.
