Royal Alberta Museum is Alberta's human and natural history museum in Edmonton. It's open seven days a week for the public to explore the exhibits, programs and collections. It's located in a park just west of downtown and has become one of Canada's most popular museums.

Whether you walk, drive, bike or take public transit, the museum is easily accessible to all at 12845 102nd Avenue NW. Here is a look at what you'll see at the Royal Alberta Museum of Edmonton.

About Royal Alberta Museum

The museum features a full range of activities for all ages and interests located in the heart of Edmonton's downtown arts district. It's not only the most popular museum in the country, but it's become the largest museum in western Canada.

The featured exhibits are regularly changing and behind the scenes are 13 curatorial programs at work making some of the finest cultural and natural history collections in Canada available for display. You can visit 9-5 daily except for December 24th-25th. Tickets start at $11 for adults and discounts are available to seniors, students, children and groups.

Museum Shop & Café

Check out the museum gift shop and café during your visit. You'll find uncommon gifts like museum exhibit-inspired gifts, collectibles and clothing. You'll also find jewellery, books, games and other Museum merchandise in the museum shop. The café is the perfect place to grab lunch during your visit.

Exhibits

Check out current exhibits like the Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Nowhere People and permanent exhibits including Natural History gallery, Wild Alberta gallery and Syncrude Gallery of Aboriginal Culture.
