Stantec Tower

Tallest Skyscraper in Edmonton: Stantec Tower

You'll want to check out Stantec Tower, the tallest building in Edmonton. Reaching a height of 250.9 metres and soaring 66 storeys high, Stantec Tower achieved a height surpassing the JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District & Residences in 2018.

Its impressive elevation makes it Canada's seventh-tallest building and the tallest structure outside of Toronto. It houses various retail spaces, office accommodations, and 315 residential units from the 43rd to the 66th floors, known as SKY Residences.

Enjoy an unparalleled living experience with awe-inspiring views, top-notch finishes, and access to premium amenities. In the ICE District of Downtown, residents and visitors get to enjoy all the benefits of being in one of Edmonton’s best neighbourhoods. Plus, you can't beat its location close to Rogers Place!

JW Marriott Edmonton

Tallest Towers in Edmonton: JW Marriott

Experience the grandeur of the JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District & Residences, one of the city's most luxurious and iconic high-rises. This architectural marvel stands at exactly 192.95 metres and is a prominent landmark in downtown Edmonton. Constructed between November 2014 and March 2018, it proudly held the title of Edmonton's tallest building until surpassed by the Stantec Tower in May 2018.

The hotel section spans floors one to 22 with 346 rooms, an expansive conference area covering 2,300 square metres, and a grand 930 square metre ballroom. Above, floors 23 to 54 showcase the opulent Legends Private Residences condos—considered some of the best condos in Edmonton—that offer unparalleled amenities and breathtaking panoramic views.

Located just south of the Central McDougall neighbourhood, the development also provides convenient proximity to ICE District Plaza events like concerts and NHL games hosted at Rogers Place.

Upon opening its doors in August 2019, JW Marriott Edmonton became the third Marriott location in Canada, following the Muskoka region in Ontario and Vancouver in British Columbia. This remarkable structure stands as a testament to the burgeoning potential of Edmonton as well as a beacon of luxury living within the ICE District.

EPCOR Tower

Tallest Buildings in Downtown Edmonton: EPCOR Tower

Situated in the heart of downtown Edmonton, the EPCOR Tower stands as a remarkable 149.4-metre commercial skyscraper boasting an impressive array of amenities. It features two levels dedicated to retail spaces, a four-tier parkade, fitness facilities, secure bike storage, and a loading dock capable of accommodating two large tractor-trailers.

Most notably, it also has balconies on every floor—setting it apart from any other tower in the city. The building proudly bears LEED® Gold for Core and Shell certification awarded by USGBC and BOMA BEST® Gold certification from Canada.

The design focuses on energy efficiency with automated fluorescent lighting systems equipped with dimming and occupancy sensors, a triple-glazed curtain wall that prevents peripheral radiation, 78 distinct cooling zones per floor for fresh air access, geothermal earth tubes for passive temperature regulation, and low-flush toilets using harvested rainwater.

For sustainability statistics, there's been a 90% reduction in stormwater run-off, a 64% decrease in potable water consumption due to rainwater recycling, and a 23% reduction in energy costs through geothermal temperature management.

Manulife Place provides convenient access to nearby buildings through the Edmonton Pedway system and plenty for shoppers to explore with its vast selection of stores. Visitors can find anything from clothing boutiques to electronics retailers within its walls. Notable amenities include an art gallery, food court, daycare, and conference centre.
